3. Booking and Payment
3.1 All bookings must be made through our official website, phone, or email.
3.2 Full payment is required to confirm your booking unless otherwise specified.
3.3 We accept payment via bank transfer, credit/debit cards, or other methods specified on our website.
3.4 Prices are quoted in Mauritian Rupees (Rs) or Euros (€) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
4. Participant Requirements
4.1 Age Requirements: Minimum age varies by activity (typically 8+ years). Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
4.2 Fitness Level: Participants must have a basic level of fitness suitable for the chosen activity.
4.3 Health Declaration: Participants must disclose any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, or disabilities that may affect their participation.
4.4 Equipment: Participants must bring appropriate clothing and footwear as specified in our requirements.
5. Safety and Risk Acknowledgment
5.1 Adventure activities involve inherent risks including but not limited to:
Falls from height
Slippery surfaces
Adverse weather conditions
Wildlife encounters
Natural hazards
5.2 Participants must follow guide instructions at all times.
5.3 Mauritius Hiking Guide reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone deemed unfit or unprepared.
6. Cancellation and Rescheduling
6.1 By Customer:
7+ days before tour: Full refund or reschedule
48-72 hours before tour: 50% refund
Less than 48 hours: No refund
6.2 By Mauritius Hiking Guide: Full refund or reschedule if we cancel due to:Unsafe weather conditions
Insufficient participants
Guide unavailability
Other unforeseen circumstances
7. Insurance
7.1 Participants are responsible for obtaining their own medical insurance.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 All content on our website (text, images, logos) is owned by Mauritius Hiking Guide.
8.2 Content may not be reproduced without written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1 Mauritius Hiking Guide is not liable for:
Personal injury or death resulting from participation
Loss or damage to personal property
Additional expenses incurred due to tour changes
9.2 Maximum liability is limited to the tour price paid.
10. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control including natural disasters, government restrictions, or pandemics.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Mauritian law. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Mauritian courts.
