1. Booking Process
1.1 Online Booking: Complete the booking form on our website with accurate information.
1.2 Confirmation: Bookings are confirmed only after:
- Receipt of completed booking form
- Full payment received
1.3 Age Verification: Proof of age may be required for age-restricted tours.
2. Payment Terms
2.1 Full Payment: Before tour date.
2.2 Last-Minute Bookings: Full payment required immediately.
3. Cancellation Policy
3.1 By Customer:
- 30+ days before tour: Full refund minus 5% administrative fee
- 15-29 days before tour: 75% refund
- 8-14 days before tour: 50% refund
- 4-7 days before tour: 25% refund
- Less than 72 hours: No refund
3.2 Exceptions:
- Medical emergencies (with doctor’s certificate): 90% refund
- Death in immediate family: Full refund
- Pregnancy (for restricted activities): Full refund
4. Rescheduling Policy
4.1 Customer Request:
- 7+ days notice: Free reschedule to available date
- 48-72 hours notice: 25% rescheduling fee
- Less than 48 hours: Treated as cancellation
4.2 Limitations:
- Rescheduling subject to availability
- Maximum 2 reschedules per booking
- Must be used within 12 months of original date
- Price differences apply if rescheduling to higher-priced tour
5. Mauritius Hiking Guide Cancellations
5.1 Reasons We May Cancel:
- Unsafe weather conditions
- Natural disasters or force majeure
- Safety concerns
5.2 Our Commitment:
- Notification at least 24 hours in advance when possible
- Full refund or reschedule to preferred date
- Assistance with alternative arrangements
6. Weather Policy
6.1 Decision Authority: Guides make final weather-related decisions based on safety.
6.2 Options in Poor Weather:
- Tour proceeds with modified route
- Reschedule to another date
- Full refund if rescheduling not possible
6.3 Communication: We monitor weather and communicate changes via email/SMS.
7. Minimum Participation
7.1 No minimum participant.
8. Late Arrival
8.1 Arrive 15 minutes before scheduled start time.
8.2 Late Policy:
15-30 minutes late: Tour may start late at guide’s discretion
More than 30 minutes late: Considered cancellation, no refund
9. Special Requests and Modifications
9.1 Customized tours require special booking arrangements.
9.2 Dietary/medical requirements must be communicated in advance.
